Lincoln High School

Project Description

Watch 3D Model Fly Through

Scheduled to open Fall 2022, the new Lincoln High School includes a new multi-story building that includes performing arts spaces, a student commons, an expanded gymnasium facility and state of the art classrooms. Total project size: 2200 US Tons, 14000 Structural elements, 6446 Assembly drawings and 432 Erection drawings.

Dowco.s Pre-Construction team was contracted by the General Contractor early in the project to create the LOD400 structural and miscellaneous steel model, and to model the curtain wall, and complex roof systems.

The LOD400 Model was used for steel fabrication tender, and upon successful award the steel fabricator engaged Dowco to complete their fabrication shop and field drawings.

This project highlights the importance of establishing an integrated design and detailed approach early in the construction process. The creation of a fully digital construction model played a pivotal role in identifying and resolving conflicts and constructability issues which ultimately served to drive down costs and ensure the project vision was maintained.
